Six Trim Levels Packing Luxury into Every Model
While the Chevy Suburban is categorized as an SUV, it looks a lot like a vast and fully enclosed truck from the outside. The unique combination of exterior and interior design features drives its popularity with customers. Chevy kicks it up a notch by offering six trim levels with multiple luxury upgrades in each one. The LS is the Suburban's base model. It has a 17.7-inch diagonal touchscreen built into the dash for everything from music selection to maps and directions. The 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine with dynamic fuel management and a ten-speed automatic transmission puts the full power of the Suburban LS in your capable hands.
For a few thousand more, upgrade to the LT model. With the LT, you get a programmable power liftgate, heated front seats, and wireless charging for your devices. The upholstery is a mix of leather and another fabric, providing the feel of leather without the full cost of full leather seats.
If you upgrade to the RST model, you can expect all-black interior upholstery with red contrast stitching throughout, black roof rails, and black exterior trim. Because it is a "limited edition," it also comes with RST badging on the exterior.
When you want a Suburban that acts more like an off-roading truck, buy the Z71. This one is built to handle any terrain, no matter how rocky, slippery, or steep. Red recovery hooks accent the higher front faceplate, allowing you to pull others out of a sticky place or get better towing when the Suburban may need a boost in power for loads bigger than it can handle alone around Lubbock and Levelland.
The second highest trim level is the Premier. It has animated headlights you can adjust to suit your unique personality. The front row and the second row of seats in this trim level are fully heated for added comfort. A power sliding center console hides items of value out of sight, while the premium Bose sound system with ten surround speakers delivers a quality music experience.
Want to spring for the highest trim level the Suburban has? Then the High Country is what you want. Everything from the lower trim levels is packed into this vehicle, with upgrades to full leather, a bigger and more powerful engine, and real wood interior trim that is smooth, glossy, and extremely elegant.
The price difference between the base model and the highest trim level of the new Chevy Suburban for this year's models is around $20,000. That is not bad, considering how much luxury is packed into these vehicles already.
