Honest 2 year driving review
By Marcus | on 7/22/2025 4:03:12 PM
An excellent BUDGET commuter or 1st car, a cheap choice and reliable option. Im gonna miss her. Leaving this review because I am about to sell this car and maybe this is for closure because I've grown sentimental to her. Selling because I want to get a manual. Ive had no problems, and I've driven this car a lot. I have the se model, the lowest trim, but its still nice to be in. Its a calm drive and comfortable to be in. I've been able to get 40+ on the highway if I take my time accelerating. She's easy to work on and there's a lot of parts available. It's pretty spacious for a compact. I've had a lot of memories made in this car. Fun with friends, fun with lovers, practical for family. Bigger on the inside type of thing. I can always park it in the city, and Im in NYC. Its been easy to park with her. If you can find one cheap, and maintained well enough, this will do you good. Its a solid car. Not too exciting, but not dreadfully boring, It's a comfortable car that you dont have too worry about. And it's really pretty! I think she's a really really pretty car. Cons: The base SE trim is pretty cheap feeling, wish I had volume control and leather seats. It wont be the fastest on the road. DEEP manhattan Im dipping to low 30s on combined mpg. Oh my god and the kids stealing hyundai trend. Yea thats not an issue I have the software and a steering wheel lock, at least for me thats enough peace of mind. This was more of an issue at the height of its popularity. Not common anymore. Just regular thieves now. Just lock your car man! pros: Ive had no problems with this car mechanically after 2 years and 30 thousand miles. Spacious, Great MPG, comfortable. If you maintain this car, I truly believe the 200,000 mile club is attainable. I treated this car like I was going to keep it for the next however long years, but I've decided to move on because I want a manual. I was genuinely considering on just getting this same car but in a manual. Best for the Commuter person who wants a cheap car thats not totally junk. The driver that wants a cool looking car that looks like cool fast car, but is actually an economical commuting car. For the parent that wants to buy something that their kid would like. Not an ol old reliable looking car, but still drives like one! . For the budget conscious, comfortable reliable priority people. Not the car for someone looking for a super upscale feel. Wants a really exciting driving experience. and specifically for the SE Trim buyers, this car does not come with backup camera, volume control, or heated seats. I think those are some big features missing on a 2016 Base trim. The branding might be a turnoff, even for the budget reliable priority people. It's always corolla civic or nothing. So driving a hyundai might not resonate with these ultra reliability priority people. I used to be those people. But it's been surprisingly a great experience for me. All in all, a great car to own in my opinion.… - 5.0
Manual Hatchback is great!
By NMHyundaiOwner | on 3/9/2025 1:26:21 AM
Overall, super stoked with the performance from my Hyundai hatchback. The interior features that it does have were well thought out (heated seats, easy to use bluetooth connection). Some finishes are cheaper (the gear shift definitely looks aged) but that's expected with a budget car. No major mechanical fixes so far, and the manual is fun to drive.…
